Why Do Turkeys Gobble, Gobble?

Because they never learned good table manners, table manners!!

Sorry for that, my grandpa made me listen to about a dozen corny Thanksgiving jokes and that one got stuck in my head.

I hope everyone's turkey day was good.

I got into Endicott around 7 on Tuesday night and went right to my mom's house. I got some pizza and ate it. Later on Matt and Kim came over and we watched Dumb and Dumberer. It was a good time.

Then on Wednesday I just hang around with family during the day and that night went to Larissa's house. That was a lot of fun hanging out and catching up. I got to see both the Hontz brothers then, so that was awesome. Plus, we watched CKY2K and the fourth one which I hadn't seen before. Good stuff.

On Thanksgiving I went to my mom's side for lunch which was fun. Then for dinner went to my dad's side. I ate a ton of food that day. I didn't get home until like 11. Crazy Wolf side of the family.

On Friday Matt, Kim, Jim and I were at Matt's house for a little while. He just got the Lord of the Rings Return of the King videogame which seemed really cool. Then we grabbed Kris and went to my mom's house and watched Saved which was pretty funny.

On Saturday I left to go back up to Buffalo at around 2. I got stuck behind an accident and they weren't letting people go through, so I sat there for over half an hour. It was like the REM video for "Everybody Hurts." Everyone was out of their cars walking around. Once I got to go through I went to Mary's parents where her sister and brother in law were there. Some of her other family was there too. We had lasagna which was awesome and then played Cranium. Since it is the season for giving, Jamie and I let Mary and Tara's team win the game. Afterwards I came back to my apartment to get some school work done.

On Sunday all I did was school work. It was pretty boring.

I blew Kim's mind with this statement:
Professionals built the Titanic
and amateurs built the ark.

Think about it!! It'll blow your mind too!

Speaking of Titanic, I read this in class and got a big laugh:
We are doing mini writing lessons in my English class and one of the people who went today had us read a fictitous journal article the day before a historical event and then we'd write the day of entry. I had the Titanic and here it is:

Day before April 15, 1912
We set sail several days ago. The ship is beautiful. Its cabins are wonderful and so are the dining halls. The air outside is cold, and I imagine the water is freezing.
We are on an unsinkable ship. I have never felt so safe before in my life. There are lower class people on the boat, but guards keep them away from us. We are too good for them!

Now this is my entry of the day of the sinking:
April 16, 1912
Holy crap, the unsinkable ship has sunk. I hope 80 some odd years from now this story is told about the error of man's pride and not as some cheesy love story that stinks until the ship sinks. I seem to have lost my family as I sit here in the ocean's freezing water. Must be because of the "women and children first" bit. Oh the humanity as I slowly freeze to death.

I don't know if it transfers well to text but it killed in class.

I'm starving, I think I'm going to go get some Subway.

That's Incredible

Thank you Brad Bird for creating the near perfect movie that is, The Incredibles. This has to be my favorite Pixar movie yet (with Toy Story in second place).

We get to the theater last night and I knew we were in for a kick ass time when the moment I sat down and looked at the screen I saw the word "Lucasfilm." Now, I had already seen the new Star Wars trailer a couple times before on my computer, but that didn't prepare me for seeing it on the big screen. Holy crap this movie is going to be amazing. Just from the trailer you can see how epic it is going to be.

Now on to The Incredibles: This movie had everything you could want. It had a great premise and story full of big laughs and tons of adventure. The movie had a lot of emotion to it, which was very nice as well.

Only a person who wrote for an amazing show like the Simpsons (new episodes on Sundays at 8 'clock) could have written and directed such an amazing movie. (I'm sorry about the cheap Simpsons plug).

I highly advise you go and see it. If you did see it, did you notice they live in Metroville? (Metropolis/Smallville hmmmmm am I crazy or am I on to something here?)

In other news, I found my old online journal entries which I thought were lost forever. I saved them all to my computer, all 85 Microsoft Works pages of them!!!! I'm so happy, the only let down is that the comments people left for me are gone.

In related news, Matt gave me the great idea to periodically put old journal articles up here for a sort of "Looking Back on Your Life." Also, he and I might write guest spots in each other's blogs. Don't worry, I'll link it up so you can see what I write in his.

I Hope You Get Hit By A Bus

I almost got hit by a car yesterday. I was crossing the street, having the right of way, and this old woman was turning right on red. She was looking to the left to make sure no cars were coming, but wasn't looking where she was going. I saw her speeding up so I ran out of the way. Crazy old woman. But the craziest thing is even though I was about to die, I didn't see my life flash before my eyes, which leads me to believe I live a sad life and nothing worth being flashed before my eyes. Of course Dan made the good point that maybe I actually wasn't going to die, so of course nothing would flash before my eyes.

Besides watching the new episodes of the Simpsons, you should watch:
Arrested Development
The Venture Bros.
The Biggest Loser (laughing at fat people crying is amusing to me. I'm sure I'm going to Hell for that)
My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss (laughing at greedy people making asses of themselves is amusing to me)

Here are some theories to why no one I used to talk to talks to me anymore and why no new people want to be my friend:
-I don't have a cell phone. I used to think that I didn't need a cell phone because no one calls me, ever. But now I think I get it. If I had a cell phone then other people who have cell phones would want my number, and would call me the second they got out of classes, or as they were walking, or at their computer, or as they watched tv, etc. I've been thinking backwards about it all this time.
-I don't do drugs. I think a lot of people think I'm lame because I don't do drugs, so they, over time, stopped wanting me around. Sorry.
-I make them feel bad about themselves because I am so damn cool and being around me reminds them of how lame they are.
-They are like me and wait for the other person to talk to them because they are not sure if that person wants to talk to them. So here we are both waiting on the other one to make the first move. I blocked all the people I don't want to talk to online, so if you can still see my screen name to see this link, that means I want to talk to you.
-We just grew apart naturally and there are no bad feelings.
-I've become a hermit and seem uninviting.

My man Matt "I can eat a whole garbage plate, but then doesn't" Lea just made a Blog, so bookmark that and check it out:
http://mattlea.blogspot.com

Also, don't forget about Dan "I get love from a Man" Szweda's:
http://szweda.blogspot.com

Now we just need Hontz to grow some balls and make one.

I've been giving lots of reports and doing lots of papers which mean it must be getting towards the end of the semester. So crazy. Only one more semester and I'll be student teaching.

D'oh

So I made a post a week ago, but it took so long to upload that I lost it. Sorry. It was a really good one too. I made fun of Bush and Kerry and their respected parties. But alas, it will never see the light of day.

In more recent news we went to Rochester on Friday for what was the most fun day/night I've had in a long, long time. Kris and Matt rolled in a little late and immediately Matt starts bitching about being five minutes late because Kris needed to go to the store. Of course I couldn't care less and didn't think anything of it. Then Kris comes walking in with a paper bag. He hands it to me and it's Goldschlogar for my birthday (over 5 months late!!). So that was cool. He gave me Goldschlogar because he and I have a special bond with it ("I get gay when I drink").

We then ran to E.T.S. and Target. After these errands we started out on the road to Rochester. Once there we went and got garbage plates, which may be one of the biggest orgasms my mouth has had in a long time. The plates we got had half home fries, half macaroni sald. Then two cheeseburgers with mustard and onions. Then it is covered in a meat sauce. We then covered them in ketchup and hot sauce. It was absolutely delicious. Quite tasty if you ask me. Besides the food, sitting around and talking with everyone was a lot of fun. I feel Dan, Kris, Matt and I all bonded a lot.

After garbage plates we went to the arena for the concert. Once there we got somewhat into the pit for Sugarcult. They put on a rocking show, as usual. For New Found Glory everyone wanted to get even further up front. So once they started playing we used the mosh pits to work our way up front. We ended up about 4 people back. This is where the real fun began. The whole crowd behind us is pushing forward and the people in front of us are pushing back, so we are getting pushed around in all directions. But that didn't matter, because little did I know that in a few moments my life would change forever. As NFG was playing Chad (my man crush) looks down at me, seeing my Shai Hulud shirt (the band he used to sing for) and smiles and nods at me. I turn around excited and said to Matt and Dan, "he looked at me!" They of course rolled their eyes and thought I was going crazy. Then the song ended and Chad went up to his microphone. "Hey, hey I want everyone's attention. There's a guy in the crowd rocking out in a Shai Hulud shirt. I just want to give them and him a shout out. Awesome man." I'm of course pumping my fist yelling "Chad I love you!" Then Jordan goes "Yeah man, I beat your showing these kids how to mosh and regulating the pit." I of course at this point creamed all over the front of my pants. I mean, Chad took time out of the concert, in front of over 8,000 people, to acknowledge that I exist and that I rock the fuck out!! See, here's the thing, I used to be 99.9% heterosexual, and .1% Chadsexual. Now I am 100% Chadsexual. Sorry Mary and any other girl who thought they might some day have a chance with me, but I don't like girls any longer. All in all, New Found Glory rocked out hard. Green Day came out and rocked out even harder. They played for almost 2 and a half hours. Every song you would want them to play, they played. The best crowd interaction ever. Billie Joe has the crowd in the palm of his hand at all time. They brought fans onstage to play "Knowledge" by Operation Ivy and then gave the guitarist the guitar to keep. They covered "Shout" and "We are the Champions." They had theatrics and confetti and fire and everything. Green Day is an amazing live act. It was such an amazing time.

After the concert Dan and I went to his parent's house to spend the night. That was a lot of fun hanging out, talking to his family until 5 in the morning. They seemed to take a liking to me, which was nice. We talked all about best tv shows, movies, music, and all sorts of other important issues. Everytime I finished my beer (Lab0atts!) there was another one waiting for me. Good times.

On Saturday Dan and I drove home, half deaf. The rest of the weekend was pretty fun too. Mary and I watched Girl Next Door which was funny and full of nudity and Alanzo Boden.

The rest of my life has been going well too. School is good. My mom says she is settling into her new house. I beat Tony Hawk. It was really good, but seemed a little short. It didn't take much to beat Classic and Story mode.

New Simpsons started with a Tree House of Horror. I liked it a lot (duh).
